You Only Live Once

My Blog Banner

This reality hit me very recently. Like I wrote in my previous post, being who I am and living up to purpose is a conscious decision I am walking towards. I am work in progress. Therefore, I can now see why I should not put myself under undue pressure to be that perfect piece before people’s eyes. Why?

For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us]. – Ephesians 2:10 AMP

Redefining who you are in the light of your challenge is living way below your potential and purpose in life. If God calls you His workmanship, then live up to it! Go about your good works in every facet of life. I mean, what exactly are you going through that millions of people have not already gone through or are currently going through?

I want you to take a minute to think about that…

Millions, if not billions of people have passed through this earth before you, and they each had their own share of challenges. However, their individual and collective responses to those challenges is what has differentiated them in history. So, how are you handling your own challenges? Would history remember you for drowning in them or would you fulfill your purpose despite them?

You only live once on this Earth. This means that you have just one opportunity to live life to the fullest. I challenge you today to make the best use of it! Those projects you had discarded because of one reason or the other, please pick them back up and start to move in the right direction. If in the process, you had failed or fallen, pick yourself up, dust away every contaminant and move forward. Time is ticking by and it is not going to wait for you. There is so much for you to do.

Remember, YOU ONLY LIVE ONCE! #YOLO
