From the past topics, I have been able to establish how and why man was placed under the curse. The result of this is that their offspring from then on automatically operated under that curse as well. It had nothing to do with what they did or didn’t do. Once you are born here on earth, your nature is based on that God. But God in His infinite mercies and wisdom (who still loves/loved mankind) has had to find a way round working with this skewed man to fulfill His ultimate purpose(s) here on earth. It is why when you read through scriptures, it seems like God favored one gender above the other. This was not to show favoritism or bias, it was simply the way God could relate with man (the male and the female) in their fallen state.
Despite this, we still have some awesome women in the bible who broke this boundaries by the things they stood for and did. For example, we have Deborah the Prophetess and Judge (Judges 4), Jael who killed Sisera (Judges 4), Abigael who later married David (1 Samuel 25), daughters of Zelophehad (Numbers 27), and many others in scriptures. The world which is/had obviously become patriarchal, did not stop these women from placing a demand on God’s original intention before the fall. Their stories are also proof that God is not gender biased, and would very soon love to see the male man and the female man work together in sync without one party dominating over the other. You can clearly see this when God Himself approved that the four (4) daughters of Zelophehad could inherit their father’s properties when the tradition was for the males to do so. If God were to be partial or biased, He would have upheld such traditions. But God is no respecter of persons or traditions of men. He is way above that. I am sure God must have smiled and nodded in approval when those women rose up to fight for what they believed was theirs. God kept putting things in place in preparation for a final solution to this problem; a solution that would be lasting and all encompassing.
45 Thus it is written, The first man Adam became a living being (an individual personality); the last Adam (Christ) became a life-giving Spirit [restoring the dead to life].
46 But it is not the spiritual life which came first, but the physical and then the spiritual.
47 The first man [was] from out of earth, made of dust (earthly-minded); the second Man [is] the Lord from out of heaven.
48 Now those who are made of the dust are like him who was first made of the dust (earthly-minded); and as is [the Man] from heaven, so also [are those] who are of heaven (heavenly-minded).
1 Corinthians 15:45-48(AMPC)
As you can see, it makes perfect sense to put an end to this chaos (inequality, gender bias etc.) by bringing in another man to reset the entire system. That is, since sin entered the world through one man (Adam), then another man (Jesus) has to put an end to it. But unlike Adam, Jesus was conceived without sin: no egg or sperm, He was put into His mother by God Himself. Through His birth, death and resurrection, a new order has started. Jesus said in John 14:6 that I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except by me. Therefore, once you attach yourself to Jesus, you have direct access to God. An end comes to the power/grip of sin and death over your life. The curse that is operational over man as a virtue of being born into this earth would be broken! You become resurrected into newness and is given the ability to do the right things the God-way. Your eyes become opened to spiritual things and you get to understand certain depths of God-realities regarding God’s purposes and His blueprint for your life. You would be able to run according to the God-order and not follow the world-order of doing things.
This new order spreads across every facet of your life, including your relationships and marriage. Instead of thinking and living under the influence of the curse, your mind is liberated to see things in line with God’s perspective. You would be able to detect falsehood and navigate yourself out of whatever mess you may have found yourself in relationship wise. It would no longer be guess work regarding your relationships and marriage. The wisdom in choosing the right person to marry and living with him/her would be made available to you. But you can only enjoy this when you are in Christ Jesus. This is not to say that unbelievers don’t have enjoyable marriages; but when you are in Christ, you get the full package: an enjoyable marriage that pleases the couple and God, and a marriage that impacts others positively within the frame of God’s purpose.
In conclusion, the first step to ensure that you don’t stay stuck to the world-order regarding relationships and marriage is to surrender your life to Jesus by believing in Him to save and deliver you. Make Him your Lord and Savior. When this happens, you would then be able to access all I have written above and then work towards living a fulfilled marital life. It is time for you to choose: are you ready to ‘do’ relationships your way or God’s way? If your answer is ‘God’s way’ and you have not asked Jesus into your life, please read the prayers below:
Jesus, I come before you today. I believe that you are God’s son. I believe that you came to the Earth in the flesh to die for my sins and give me life. I believe that you died, was buried and resurrected on the third day. I believe that you are alive! I accept you as my Lord and Savior. Come into my life today and take charge. I believe I am now saved. Thank you for receiving me into your kingdom. In Jesus name I have prayed, amen.
Welcome to the kingdom brothers and sisters. The heavens are rejoicing over your soul.
